Sugar For Pan
The Mighty Terror (real name Fitzgerald Henry; 1921-2007) spent much of the 1950s in London along with his pal Kitchener. Terror was widely respected for his incredible vocals—his nickname was Golden Voice—but he was a fantastic writer and composer too. Each year Kitchener and Terror vied to write Carnival songs designed to appeal to the big steelbands. Here, from 1986, is one of Terror's best steelband calypsos—done as an instrumental to spotlight its beautiful melody.
