Eating Competition
Relator connaît plus de vieux calypsos que tous les autres calypsonniens réunis. Cette chanson, « le concours du plus gros mangeur », a été composée par un obscur chanteur dominicain connu sous le nom de Spider. Il a gagné les concours locaux en 1978 et 1980 et chantait sous les tentes dominicaines jusqu’ en 1997. On n ‘est pas surs qu’il l‘ait jamais chantée à Trinidad mais il y a là-bas une tradition (Spoiler, Zandolie et al) d’amuser les auditeurs en construisant un calypso autour d’un énorme mensonge et de le chanter le plus sérieusement du monde.
